Following Wimbledon, some interesting things happened off the tennis courts. Roger Federer awkwardly walked past a celebrating Novak Djokovic after Djokovic beat him in the finals 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.
Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic partied it up at the champions’ dinner and a video of the two dancing has gone viral. They’re both a bit awkward (especially Djokovic and his clapping), but it’s pretty amusing!
On CBS This Morning Djokovic explained that there used to be a tradition that the two Wimbledon champions would dance together, but that has not happened for nearly 30 years. Djokovic and Williams decided to make it a tradition once more.
“I was actually thinking it’s going to be a slower tune, something like a waltz, something more sophisticated,” Djokovic said, “but she wanted to move so she chose ‘Night Fever’ and you can imagine how that went.”
