New North Korean nuclear rocket system now capable of hitting Seoul

On Wednesday, the defense minister of South Korea announced that it is their belief that North Korea has successfully developed and deployed an advanced rocket launching system capable of hitting the South Korean capitol of Seoul as well as threaten the thousands of American troops stationed in that country.

South Korea also fears that an attack on their country may be as imminent as sometime later this year. The defense ministry there further believes, based on intelligence, that the North Koreans have been able to mount small miniature nuclear warheads on these new missiles and rockets. Even China has been leery of late and has begun to withdraw its support for the 33 year old dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong Un.

Since January, North Korea has conducted both missile launches as well as nuclear warhead rocket tests. In further moves, North Korea has recently released a video demonstrating these new abilities and the video threatens to turn Seoul into a “sea of flames”. Recently, also, the US and South Korean military have been involved in exercises that have not been relieving the current tension of the situation.

The rockets, it seems, are actually less expensive than missiles and have a range of about 125 miles. The greater Seoul area has a combined population of around 26 million and is only a scant 35 miles from the North Korean border. North Korea also claims that the new rocket launching system is completely mobile and can maneuver anywhere in a hurry. It is further cited that the North Koreans are capable of mounting nuclear warheads on their medium range Rodong missiles. These missiles have a range of over 1,200 miles and could easily threaten South Korea and even Japan.

Much of the world continues to be unhappy with the young dictator and his sociopathic intents. China, this week, announced that it would no longer be selling raw materials to the North if it is believed that they will go toward further rocket programs. Much of North Korea’s mining industry already funnels tons of raw materials into the weapon and military systems of the North.
