48-year-old former Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader Molly Shattuck pleaded guilty to fourth-degree rape for performing oral sex on a 15-year old boy she met on Instagram on Labor Day Weekend in 2014. The Ravens hired Shattuck in 2005, making her the oldest NFL cheerleader in history, starting her cheer career at 38.

Shattuck’s defense lawyers cited her divorce and her ex-husband’s new relationship with a younger woman as a cause for approaching the teen.

Molly Shattuck was the second wife of Mayo Shattuck, the chairman of Exelon Corp and well-known Baltimore businessman. They were married in the late 90’s, separated in March 2014, and officially divorced in November 2014 in Baltimore County. They have three children together, one of which was attended the same school as the victim of Shattuck’s sex crime.

The Delaware judge sentenced Shattuck to 48 weekends in jail to be served over the course of two years, so she will spend every other weekend in jail.

This sentencing is particularly light considering the maximum sentencing is up to 15 years in jail, however, Shattuck still cried throughout the sentencing and while she apologized to the boy and his family. In addition, she must register as a sex offender in the state of Delaware and continue therapy.
