Former One Direction member and now rogue artist Zayn Malik has cut all ties with former fiance Perrie Edwards, a well known member of the English girl group Little Mix.
After dating for less than two years, the couple got engaged in 2013, when they were both only 20 years old. Their two year engagement ended in mid-July, when Malik contacted her regarding his desire to split up.
Malik’s press team cited the reason for the split as Malik’s desire to completely start over in every capacity.
There has been speculation that Zayn’s new bold solo career move is to blame for the split, leaving him no time to invest in his relationship; other sources speculate the wedding pressure was the reason for the split.
Whatever the reason, both artists are both still in Los Angeles, but have no intention of crossing paths again anytime soon.
