Catch of the day: Alabama fishermen rescue two kittens

While fishing off a boat on the Black Warrior River, surprised fishermen saw two kittens swimming towards them.

The kittens were apparently hauled off and put out in a remote area.

Upon seeing the boat, first one kitten jumped in the water and swam towards the boat. The second followed suit.

The fishermen were amazed, “We’re on the boat trying to fish when a d*** cat starts swimming towards us because some jacka** probably put them out out here.”

“There’s a first time for everything I guess.”

A small bit of trivia about the Black Warrior river: “Black Warrior” comes from the Native American word “Tuscaloosa” (like the town in Alabama). This was the name of a Native America chief who squared off against Hernando Desoto. He was said to have been over 6 feet tall and of dark coloring.

Perhaps, these stout-hearted kittens were inspired by the spirit of the water. Time to change the name to “Fuzzy Warriors River”?
