A rapidly moving fire swept across major highway Interstate 15 on Friday, burning at least 20 cars and five homes. The fire broke out around 2:33 pm, and caused dozens of people to abandon their vehicles.
Helicopters dropped water and flame retardant chemicals from overhead, and several lanes were closed.
There have been no confirmed reports of injuries so far.
The highway links Southern California and Las Vegas.
