After shooting even par on the front and three-putting for a triple bogey on the eleventh, Tiger Woods finished tied for tenth place at the Wyndham Championship, losing the tournament and his chance to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs.

Woods shot 70 par on Sunday, despite making four birdies to finish off the back nine at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

He had yet another slow start on the final day of the tournament, making six consecutive pars on the first six holes before making bogey on the par three seventh.

After another par on eight, Woods made birdie on the par four ninth to shoot 35 on the front.

One more par on the start of the back nine kept him safely at 13 under, where he started the day, until blading his chip shot caused him to three-putt for a triple bogey on the par four eleventh.

Now 10 under and six back, Woods bogeyed the par three twelfth before making three consecutive birdies on 13, 14 and 15.

He finished the day with a birdie on 18 to leave him at even par for the day, 13 under for the tournament and four back from winner Davis Love III.

Woods needed to finish solo second to have a chance at qualifying for the first tournament in the FedExCup Playoffs next weekend, The Barclays. He is currently ranked No. 178 in the FedExCup standings, which keeps him out of the top 125 players who qualify for the event.

According to his website, the next tournament Woods will compete in is the Bridgestone America’s Golf Cup on Oct. 21 in Mexico.
