Ronda Rousey hosting Saturday Night Live

Though Ronda Rousey is no longer the champion, A-list gigs keep coming her way. In her first major appearance since losing her UFC Women’s Bantamweight title to Holly Holm in Australia on Nov. 15, Rowdy Ronda Rousey will be hosting NBC’s Saturday Night Live on January 23.

Rousey will be the third fighter to host the longtime comedy sketch show, joining boxers Marvelous Marvin Hagler and George Foreman.

Other famous athletes who have hosted over the years include Tom Brady, LeBron James, Wayne Gretzky, and Michael Jordan.

28-year-old Rousey of Venice, California has been largely out of the public eye since losing the title at UFC 193 with a swift head-kick. She doesn’t have her next match scheduled and is currently in the process of filming a remake of the movie “Roadhouse”. Musical guest with Rousey will be pop star Selena Gomez.
