A 27-year-old mother rushed her 6-week-old newborn into the emergency room after the doctor called saying that he had a knot in his bowel. When she arrived at the hospital, she put all her change in the meter but it wouldn’t be enough.
She turned to Facebook for help, posting in a buy/sell group to ask if she’d get towed or just ticketed, when women she’d never met offered to put change in her meter.

“It made my situation so much less stressful — so I was able to focus on my son’s needs and not about the car being towed,” she said.
“It’s a rough world right now and we only have each other in it,” Goemans said. “We need to show the next generation how important it is to help others who need it.”
