Back in February, people were exultant when they heard how 26-year-old Marie Holmes (a single mom) was the winner of the lottery Powerball.

She accepted her $188 million winnings in one lump sum that cut it down to $127 million–$88 million after taxes. She made plans to pay tithes and set up college funds.

But. . .also bailed her boyfriend out of jail. . . twice.

Holmes posted $3 million bond for  Lamarr McDow who was in jail on heroin trafficking charges. 8,000 bags of heroin were found in his possession.

She found herself in jail recently as well.

But Holmes found herself behind bars too recently. McDow violated his parole and missed curfew and the police came to search Holmes’ property. They a .45 caliber pistol and less than a half an ounce of the drug.

She had to spend $6 million more to get McDow out of prison. And he was fitted with a GPS monitoring device.

Two others were in the house and charge with possession and McDow’s three children were present at the time of the arrest.

Holmes went to WWAY’s Facebook page and responded to how this story is being reported.

“What Y’all need to be worried about is Y’all money and not how I spend mine this is benefitting Y’all how? And no he’s no drug dealer or user but who are Y’all to judge anybody? I will definitely pray for Y’all because it’s much need…they talked about Jesus so I’m not surprised Y’all are talking about me but be blessed though,”
