Universal Studios has officially announced a sequel for Jurassic World to come out in 2018. This was not unexpected considering the success that it had in box offices.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return as the leads, and Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World director) will co-write the script with Derek Connolly.

Jurassic World just climbed to number three on the list of top grossing movies of all time ($1.52), beating out The Avengers. Pratt seems to be on a box office hot streak, with Jurassic World following the huge success of Guardians of the Galaxy.
Jurassic World 2 will open in theaters June 22, 2018.
