Chance the Rapper has raised $100,000 for the Warmest Winter initiative, which helps supply the homeless in Chicago with winter coats.

Chance and the Empowerment Plan presented the Warmest Winter initiative with the hopes of bringing 1,000 coats to the homeless of Chicago. During its launch in December, Chance said he wanted to provide Chicagoans with a special coat that is “water-resistant” and “self-heating”. It can transform into a sleeping bag or be worn as an over-the-shoulder bag when not in use.

On Christmas Chance confirmed his third mixtape wasn’t coming but also updated, saying the campaign had raised almost $60,000 in ten days.

As of this writing, Chance has raised $102,507 and sponsored 1,025 coats.
