Captain America: Civil War surpasses Deadpool

Captain America: Civil War has surpassed Deadpool in the international box office.

Deadpool closed its run with $762.1 million, sitting at number five on the list of top grossing films of 2016. Captain America: Civil War, only a few weeks in, has claimed $765.9 million, sitting fourth on that list. In comparison, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice drew $868.2 million, and is still playing in theaters. Children’s film Zootopia has taken the top spot of 2016 so far with $959.5 million.

 

 

The film stars Chris Evans as Captain America and focuses on the conflict between heroes led by Cap on one side and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) on the other regarding whether the governments of the world have the right to interfere in the actions of superheroes.
