R.I.P. Boston snow farms

The last of Boston’s snow farms has officially melted.

The past winter was one of cold and headache as the city dealt with 108.6 inches of snowfall.

Mayor Marty Walsh tweeted: “‘I’m pleased to announce the challenge has come to a close, as the pile officially melted today, July 14. (1/3)”

Last month on Twiter, Walsh issued a “Snow Melt Challenge”. He made a game out of the headache by asking residents to guess which day the last of the snow would finally be gone.

We’ll know Wednesday who the winners are.

They will also have a meet and greet with the mayor.
