Katy Perry for Hillary Clinton

Katy Perry will be performing at a rally for Hillary Clinton in Des Moines later this month. The “Dark Horse” singer will be making an appearance at an Oct. 24 campaign stop before the Iowa Democratic Party’s annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

The pop star has publicly endorsed Hillary Clinton’s campaign, even offering to write a theme song for the Democratic primary front-runner.

Perry campaigned for President Obama’s reelection n 2012.
Clinton has the backing of many celebrities – Christina Aguilera is holding a fundraiser in Beverly Hills on November 4, actor Ron Reiner will then host Clinton at another LA event.

The strong celebrity push is a part of Clinton’s strategy to attract the youth vote and revitalize her image as Bernie Sanders rises in the polls.

The former first lady has made appearances on “Ellen,” “The Tonight Show,” and “Saturday Night Live” recently and sat down for an interview with “Girls” star Lena Dunham.
