Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said that President Obama, in regards to the Iran nuclear deal, was marching Israelis “to the door of the oven” in a reference to Nazi concentration camps during World War II.
The Democratic National Committee demanded an apology and said that the statement had no place in American politics.
The Iran nuclear deal that was struck earlier this month has received significant criticisms from the Republican Party already.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the deal a threat to Israel’s survival.
Republican controlled Congress has until September 17th to approve or reject the deal.

In an interview with a conservative website on Saturday, former Arkansas governor Mr Huckabee described the foreign policy of Mr Obama – a Democrat – as “the most feckless in American history”.
“It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians. By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven,” he told Breitbart News Saturday.
