Director of Disney’s hit movie Frozen Chris Buck has revealed that he believes that Elsa and Anna’s parents didn’t die at sea as implied in the movie, but rather had a baby at sea and then washed ashore on an island where they died having been eaten by a leopard, leaving their son to fend for himself. That son would grow up raised by gorillas and be Tarzan.
Last year in a reddit AMA, Chris Buck said that the king and queen of Arendelle did not actually die in the shipwreck, and neither did their baby boy. This sounds very resemblant of the opening of the 1999 movie Tarzan.
This theory isn’t official, but Buck said:
“Whatever people want to believe, go for it. If you want to tie them all together, then do it.”
Co-director Jennifer Lee revealed her own theory last year connecting Tangled and Frozen.
Frozen 2 has been confirmed and a release date has not yet been set.
