Donald Trump tops national poll 2 weeks in a row

According to a Suffolk University / USATODAY poll, Donald Trump is still the top choice Republican running for President.

This comes as a great surprise to many considering the backlash he has faced after his comments generalizing Mexican immigrants as “rapists… and criminals”. Trump is in the lead with 17%, followed by Jeb Bush with 14%, newly declared candidate Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio have 8%, 6%, and 5% respectively.

Those polled all identified as either Republicans or Independents.
