Bruno Mars invited back for Superbowl 50

The NFL has invited Bruno Mars back for the Superbowl L halftime show.

Mars performed two years ago, with Katy Perry making a splash last year.

This time, Bruno Mars has been asked to “curate” the halftime show, implying that some impressive guests are probably expected to show.

Mars’ last halftime performance had 115 million viewers according to Nielsen, making it the second highest viewership for the Superbowl halftime show. First place goes to Katy Perry last year with 121 million.

Sarah Moll, the director of media events for the NFL, told Billboard in December last year about booking the halftime show. She mentioned that the initial conversation regarding booking Bruno Mars for Super Bowl XLVIII began because she was personally a “huge fan” of his.
