Nicki Minaj Wax Figure faces Violating Photos

On August 4th, Nicki Minaj become the first ever female rap artist to have a wax figure in Madame Tussauds’ history. The figure unveiling was to celebrate the one year anniversary of Nicki Minaj’s iconic “Anaconda” song and music video.

The display included four background dancers, creating the full “Anaconda” effect. While Minaj was not at the unveiling (and implied in her Instagram posts that this figure was a surprise to her), she seemed very happy with the exhibit.

While this figure accurately depicts Nicki Minaj’s pose in the music video, female rapper Azealia Banks pointed out on Twitter that they did not have to put her on all fours, and she could have just as easily been standing up with a microphone.

Within the first two weeks of the exhibit’s opening, tourists began taking excessively sexual and degrading photos with the figure, nearly licking and placing their crotch in different areas on the figure. This behavior forced Madame Tussauds to add more security personnel to the exhibit.
