Kimmel moved over inhumane hunting of Cecil the Lion

Jimmy Kimmel was noticeably moved on his show Tuesday night as he made a plug for the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit.

Cecil was a popular lion at  a Zimbabwean national park and had been tagged for scientific research by the WRCU.

Kimmel was blatant about his disgust and even threw in a jab at Bill Cosby (comparing the public outrage towards both men). He said that he was initially relieved that at least it hadn’t been an American, but then relayed his renewed disappointment.

Kimmel recapped the story of Cecil’s tragic fate. Palmer,  a Minnesota dentist had paid $55,000 to hunt, track and kill Cecil and claimed to be unaware that it was illegal. Kimmel says he even went to great lengths to destroy the GPS tracking device that was attached to the lion.

Kimmel questioned what would motivate a man to kill a lion and said, “is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you need to kill things?”

According to Kimmel, Palmer could have taken Viagara to “save himself from being the most hated man in America who never advertised jell-o pudding.”

Kimmel lost his composure as he spoke of turning a negative into a positive as he solicited donations for the WRCU.
