David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film is set to be released in August and highly anticipated, with Margot Robbie playing fan favorite Harley Quinn.
Costume designer Kate Hawley has gone on record multiple times saying that they went through several variations and takes on Harley’s costume.
Hawley explained why they chose to go with the final costume, saying “She’s a girl’s hero. It was understanding how do we make her feel sexy by owning it as opposed to what a man thinks is sexy.”
The movie hits theatres on August 5th.
