‘Frappula Frappucino’ hits Starbucks

Starting this Wednesday, stores across the U.S. and Canada will be offering a Halloween-themed Frappuccino, and it’s available until  All Hallow’s Eve.

It’s named Frappula for one of our favorite scary scaresters.  It’s is ombré-layered drink with an inky layer of mocha sauce at the bottom, then whipped cream, followed by a white chocolate mocha core, which serves as the base of the drink. For the dripping-blood effect raspberry syrup is drizzled around the inner rim of the cup. Of course, it’s topped with a swirl of whipped cream. . . making it a Frappuccino.

This drink is one of several that will be offered this fall. Beast Mode,a doubt-mocha-mint-protein powder drink, is another. It’s named for Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks and is available only in Washington and Oakland, CA (Lynch’s  hometown).

There are other changes on the horizon. There’s a new winter’s holiday red cup design, new video screens in drive thrus. an Orange Sleeve Society for PSL aficionados, and for the first time in four years, a new fall latte, Toasted Graham.

The Frappula is available for only 4 days this year, but the ingredients for it are at Starbucks year round. It might worth a shot to ask your barista to whip one up.
