Deadpool has had an incredible run at the box office, especially as an R-rated comic book adaptation. After the close of yesterday’s box office, Deadpool officially surpassed X-Men: Days of Future Past to become the highest-grossing X-Men film of all time at the global box office.
The film raked in $3.5 million this past weekend for a sum of $749 million all time globally, topping $747.8 million.
Deadpool has long outran X-Men domestically, and with the movie headed to DVD and Blu-ray in May, it’ll likely become available on streaming services later this month.
The film features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, the “merc with a mouth”.
